Congratulations to the 2009 Ordinandi

Congratulations to the six new priests ordained in the Archdiocese of Boston:
- Fr. Seán M. Maher from St. John’s Seminary in Brighton
- Fr. Huy H. Nguyen from St. John’s Seminary in Brighton
- Fr. Frank D. Camp from Blessed John XXIII National Seminary
- Fr. David W. Gunter from Blessed John XXIII National Seminary
- Fr. Israel J. Rodriguez from the Redemptoris Mater Archdiocesan House of Formation
- Fr. Shawn P. Carey from the St. Patrick Seminary in Menlo Park, Calif.
God bless these new priests as they begin their new life as ordained priests!

Congratulations to Boston Ordinandi 2008

Last Saturday, May 24, seven men were ordained to the priesthood. We congratulate the ordinandi on their choice to follow their calling to the priesthood! Several Serra Boston members attended the ordination at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston.
As a sign of Serra’s commitment to affirm priestly vocations, each of the newly ordained priests for the archdiocese of Boston will receive a clerical shirt and collar from Serra Boston, along with assurance of prayer from club members.
Serra Boston is also planning to introduce an “Adopt-a-Priest” Apostolate, whereby every diocesan priest would be spiritually adopted by a layperson of the archdiocese.
Congratulations again to all our new priests!

We have created a number of “Pray for Our Priests” magnets with the Serra Boston web address for all those who wish to show support for priests.
These distinctive black ribbons (with the white collar) can be stuck on a car or refrigerator, and offer an easy way to publicly show support for Catholic priests and encourage others to pray. Each magnet measures 8″ x 3.5.”
